LITTLE MISS LOVER: 18 WEEKS

Weeks: 18 weeks

Cravings: Oranges & Pineapple. Custard. Cups of herbal tea. (Aversions: Meat and Seafood. Yuck!)

Baby size: Sweet Potato. Approx. 14cm.

Best thing about Pregnancy this week: Ninja kicks and movement. You can’t wipe the smile off my face. I love love love feeling her move about.

Thinking about: Parenting classes, Caesarean classes and Child CPR classes. So far I’ve got 2 of the classes booked in.

Feeling: I’ve been feeling great the last two weeks. No migraines to speak of, just the odd headache. My energy has returned in abundance and and I’ve been a cleaning wizard around the house.

Belly Button: IN-ish

What I learned this week: Cramps can get so bad I need to lie down AND itchy legs are not fun. The bottom half of my legs are red raw. Sweet bonus this week is Little Miss Lover is getting a BOY cousin a few weeks after she’s born. YAY for play mates!

A few weeks ago I purchased a pair of skinny maternity jeans from Target. One’s that sit under the bump. After two wears I’ve been forced to retire them already!! They are too tight on my thighs and the elastic was causing my bladder to over react every 30min so their new home is the back of my wardrobe where they’ll wait for me post-baby.

Boyfriend denim shorts from JeansWest. I’m gonna be a sex symbol in summer!

What’s a girl to do … but go shopping again! A fab friend suggested JeansWest and ASOS. My lack of pants was becoming a desperate situation. No SERIOUSLY! I had two pairs of leggings that I could wear and that was it. So I jumped in the car and headed to JeansWest. I walked in, asked for the maternity section and was greeted with a SALE sign. Can I get a HELLS YEAH!  It was like a sign from the universe, granting me permission to purchase up big time. So I grabbed those sexy OVER THE BUMP denim boyfriend shorts (perfect for summer) and 2 pairs of skinny jeans that are so comfy, I have no doubt I’ll wear them out whenever I’m planning a big meal.

Thank her Lorde for Raspberry Custard Brioche!

I also discovered a love for custard tarts. I’m blaming Mr Lover for this one. Hubby occasionally brings me home a French Vanilla Custard Tart that makes my knees weak. THAT’S love my friends. And just last week I discovered a local bakery that makes Raspberry Custard brioche. My guts will never forgive but my taste buds are having a rave party.

ANYONE got advice for me about itchy legs? All the moisturiser in the world ain’t helping.

    Love your blog!!?
It might be just be one of the wonderful things we go through in pregnancy but my friend had this and her OB sent her for blood tests as there is a condition to do with the liver that can cause itchiness, hers was just down to her skin becoming more sensitive but it may be worth mentioning it to yr OB if its that bad, as it is always best to be safe.
    Looking radiant x

  • Coconut oil (in the lotion form) really helps me. I was also super itchy. It has now gone away some, but I was cutting my legs up by how much I was scratching…..
    Good luck! 🙂
